JAPAN

SHOULD

  • Learn Japanese, it doesn't matter if it's only a few phrases.
  • Dress modestly, especially if you're female.
  • Learn to bow properly.
  • Finish your food to the last grain of rice.

SHOULDN'T

  • Not to stick your chopsticks in the rice, or pass food from person to person by chopsticks, these two actions are made in funerals so you shouldn't do it in dinner.
  • Blowing your nose in public is considered rude.
  • Do not ask to take home uneatean food from a restaurant.
  • Do not use your cell phone when you are on a train or a bus.
